Presented by Steuben Brewing Company, the Keuka Lake Gravel Classic will host hundreds of riders from all over the country as they traverse the challenging and scenic dirt roads of the Finger Lakes beer and wine country.
This years event has been selected to host the 2023 NYSBRA Gravel Championship! The KLGC offers two course distances that will feature vistas and vineyards, soul-crushing climbs and gnarly descents. The routes offer fast hard racing for traditional elite and masters racers and exciting challenges for grand fondo riders and new cyclists alike.
Following the races, all riders are invited to celebrate at our after party featuring prizes, music, food, and locally brewed beverages at Steuben Brewing Company.
About The Courses
Both the long and short courses begin at Steuben Brewing Company where riders will drop down through an old vineyard for a scenic mixed surface start along Keuka Lake.
After a short warm up, riders climb the first of several challenging hills through one of the countries oldes wine regions. This epic climb, where there is sure to be a crowd of cheering locals, leads to the first ridge crest of the day before dropping into some seasonal roads.
At this point in the ride the course splits with short course riders getting some pavement relief before tackling some more rolling gravel roads.

This route has been ridden for many years in different variations. After all these rides we have brought to you The Cameron Crusher. A Metric century with ~7000’ of elevation over a metric century plus. It consists of mostly gravel, maintained dirt roads and seasonal, touches of pavement, double track and single track. Some really fast descents, agonizing climbs & beautiful views. If the foliage cooperates, some great colors! Over the course you will be timed for 4 segments that include steep climbing & fast descending on often loose gravel. As well as an overall time. It will be a self-supported ride with an aid station/water stop that you can have a bag dropped off at to pick up during your ride. More details to come regarding the 2022 soft launch.
Soft launch limited to 60 participants. Contact to be placed on our list for registration.
(Steuben Strong Independent Cycling Bike Adventure Race):
This is a unique event we learned about while visiting the Asheville trails. This will be an adventure race with 5-8 points of interest or locations. Your goal is to get to as many of them as possible as fast as you can and back withing the time window. You will be allowed one bicycle to use for the whole event. Mechanicals May be repaired but the same bike must be used beginning to end. Pavement, single track, double track, pretty much all surfaces are game… you will be given a map with locations marked out. You have to determine how to get to each location as you see fastest.
More details to come as we prepare and work on permissions and date. Stay tuned for a 2023 launch.
